How this works
Most course grades are category averages: homework, quizzes, exams, final. Since the final hasn't been scored yet, your current grade describes everything except the final. This calculator scales your current grade down to its true share of the course, subtracts it from your target, and divides what's left by the final's weight.
Example: 78% current, 80% target, final worth 30%. Locked in: 78 x 0.70 = 54.6 points. Missing: 80 - 54.6 = 25.4 points, from a slice worth 30. Required: 25.4 / 0.30 = 84.7% on the final.
